Welsh Mountain Sheep Society

The Welsh Mountain sheep is one of the oldest sheep breeds in the world, with references to the breed found in literature of the Middle Ages. It is still as important today for modern agriculture as any other breed. Welsh Mountain Sheep are the foundation of the sheep industry in Wales. Welsh Mountain Sheep are economical and hardy, they are also good grazers and make excellent mothers. Other advantages are that they are inexpensive to purchase, lamb easily and require little additional feed. Low Input – High Output.
